Description: Six extrinsic eye muscles move the eyes in almost any direction. These muscles include the superior rectus, inferior rectus, lateral rectus, medial rectus, superior oblique and inferior oblique.
The eyeball contains two tunics (coats): the fibrous tunic (the cornea and sclera) and the vascular tunic (the choroid, ciliary body and iris).
