Description: A Vascular, ground, and dermal tissues make up a stem of butter-cup (Ranunculus).

B To simplify interpretation of micrographs, plant parts are typi-cally cut along standard planes. A longitudinal cut along a radius gives a radial section. A cut at right angles to the radius gives a tangential section. A cut perpendicular to the long axis gives a transverse (cross) section.
