Description: Reciprocal translocation in chronic myelogenous leukemia. Reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22 [t(9;22)] moves the c-ABL gene from chromosome 9 into the BCR gene region on chromosome 22, forming a c-ABL–BCR fusion gene on the shortened copy, called the Philadelphia chromosome, of chromosome 22. The chimeric c-ABL–BCR protein produces CMLReciprocal translocation in chronic myelogenous leukemia.
