Description: 0 One chromatid undergoes a double-stranded break (D53). 0 Nucleases digest a portion of the broken strands. Rad51 binds the undamaged chromatid. 6 Strand invasion of the sister chromatid creates a D loop. A replication fork assembles on the D loop. 0 New strand syn- thesis takes place using the available intact strands as templates. Partial strand excision l 6 Partial strand excision occurs; duplexes reform, and strands are ligated.
