Description: Starting at the top, a cluster of bisected cells contains a central core of chromosomes.  An arrow leading out from the center of a cell show a string of chromosomes enlarged, which resemble an elongated X from with dark center intersection.  Enlarging one of the genes in a chromosome gives a spiral marked D N A, gradually opening to show spokes of D N A subunits A, T, C, G within.  The D N A forms the genes that code for proteins.
