Description: Figure A shows a normal balance. In this balance, the following figures are given. sodium, 140; chloride, 105; bicarbonate, 25; potassium, magnesium, and calcium are all in small fractions. Protein, and the combination of sulfate and phosphate is the anion gap and they are both about equal. Figure B shows a high anion gap acidosis. In this balance, the following figures are given. sodium, 140; chloride, 105; bicarbonate, 15; U N M A, 15; potassium, magnesium, and calcium are make up a smaller portion that in the normal balance. The anion gap is increased. Figure C shows a normal anion gap acidosis. In this balance, the following figures are given. sodium, 140; chloride, 115; bicarbonate, 15, potassium, magnesium, and calcium are all in small fractions similar to Figure B. The anion gap is unchanged from Figure A, however. Picture Stats: Views: 99 Filesize: 90.11kB Height: 480 Width: 2105 Source: https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=49815 |
