Description: The airway cells are composed, from bottom to top, of fibroblasts, basement membrane, basal cell, columnar cell, goblet cell, and tight junction. Some parts go missing in epithelial injury. From there, new cells emerge and grow from the fibrotic matrix, and continue to build until reaching its original state again.
