What is the current legal status of adoption by gay and lesbians in the United States?
 
  a. Only one state, California, allows adoption by gays and lesbians.
  b. Only one state, Florida, prohibits adoptions by gays and lesbians.
  c. All states allow adoption by gay and lesbian individuals but do not allow such gay or lesbians couples to adopt a child together.
