Answer to Question 1

IQ tests and other measures.

Answer to Question 2

Answers will vary and should be thoughtful and reflective. Individuals and/or groups
that contributed to a change in thinking will most likely include fellow students and
professors and may include counselors, librarians, coaches, and so forth. Changes
in thinking over the four years of college that were outlined in the book include the
belief in perfect truths during the first year; then a skepticism, whereby facts must be
supported by evidence and analysis; and finally, a commitment to certain values,
understanding that they may change.
