Answer to Question 1

The student should mention that this score is just below the average range, on the
high end of the classification for a slow learner. From here, answers will vary.
Students may wish to mention the student's motivation and concentration abilities,
the tester and the testing environment, the validity or appropriateness of the test,
and the fact that it only measures certain types of intellectual abilities.

Answer to Question 2

Good answers will note that general knowledge, reasoning ability, mathematical
skill, memory, and vocabulary skills are evaluated; that scores tend to predict school
performance; and that, among other things, emotional stress, health, test-taking
anxiety, and cultural differences can result in invalid test scores.
