Answer to Question 1

Answers should demonstrate an awareness of the importance of learning about
inherited disorders in order to prevent and/or treat them through genetic counseling,
gene therapy, and various other techniques.

Answer to Question 2

Answers will vary. The guidelines should indicate an understanding that harm can
come from uncontrolled distribution of genetic information. Individuals might be
denied jobs, insurance policies, or access to services and education, based solely
on their genetic background.
