Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

Chorionic villus sampling is a procedure used to diagnose fetal genetic and developmental disorders. The procedure can be carried out relatively early in the pregnancy at ten to twelve weeks. The procedure does not give information on neural tube defects, it is somewhat more difficult to perform; and may have a slight risk of increased miscarriage.
