Down syndrome is caused by an extra 21st chromosome that is usually provided by the egg. People with Down syndrome have almond-shaped eyes and a fold over the eyelid. Their head, neck, and nose are usually smaller than normal. They also have cognitive and social impairments. Turner's syndrome is caused by having a single X sex chromosome. People with Turner's syndromes are short, have limited development of secondary sex characteristics, and problems perceiving spatial relations.
