The student should indicate that Arlie Hochschild identified the division of labor in two-paycheck households as unfairly distributed, with the wife performing the majority of the household tasks. In order to change this inequity, three areas need to be addressed; 1. reassignment of tasks and responsibilities, 2. scheduling activities and tasks, and 3. establishing standards of cleanliness, order, etc.
