1. It is directly across from the viewer's vantage point in one-point frontal recession.
2. It is to one side of the viewer's vantage point or to the other side in one-point diagonal recession.
3. It is to two sides or across and to one side of the viewer's vantage point in a two-point linear system.

Answer: The ideal answer should include:
1. Objects closer to the picture plane are sized larger than objects placed in the distance.
2. Overlapping objects create the illusion of one existing in front of the other in space.
3. They employ a vantage point looking down on a scene from overhead.
