List and discuss three contemporary artists who have incorporated crafts media and techniques into their works. Discuss their works in terms of the themes and/or purposes of art that the selected craft media emphasize. In addition, discuss their form, relating characteristics of the media to the elements and principles found in these works.

Answer to Question 1

Responses will vary depending on the selection of artists. Possible artists are Marcus Amerman, Maria Nepomuceno, and El Anatsui. All of these artists drew on the Arts and Crafts legacy in creating their artworks.
