The writer should show that even though obstacles exist, the request is still reasonable. If possible, the writer should specify reader benefits in the last sentence. The type of request determines how the obstacle should be handled. Above all, the writer should not simply ignore any obvious obstacles. On the other hand, obstacles should not be emphasized.
