a) Position the largest slice or the slice to be emphasized at the 12 o'clock position.
b) Label each slice and include information about the quantitative size (percentage, dollars, etc.) of each slice.
c) Draw attention to one or more slices for desired emphasis.
d) Avoid using 3D-type formatting that makes values more difficult to distinguish.
