Answer to Question 1

The country may have to borrow money or ask for credit from other countries. This introduces foreign debt and the country must pay interest on the money borrowed. Also, foreign debt can affect a country's economy by limiting the amount of money available for necessary work in the country.

Answer to Question 2

Mass is a measurement of the quantity of matter, whereas weight is a force exerted by gravitational pull against a mass. When speaking of items on earth however, the two are often used interchangeably.
