Test statistic: t = -1.035
Reject H0 if t < -t0.05, 46. Since t0.05, 46 = -1.679 we fail to reject H0. Hence, the data does not provide enough evidence at the 5 significance level to conclude that the final mark and the number of late assignments have a negative linear relationship.
