Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

P(a < X < b) = 0.05  P(a  48 ) / 7.8 < Z < (b  48 ) / 7.8 = 0.05
 (a  48 ) / 7.8 = -0.06 and (b  48 ) / 7.8 = 0.06
 a = 47.532 and b = 48.468
