Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
The final magnification of an image is determined by multiplying the ocular lens magnification times the objective lens magnification. Hence, in this example, it is 15 multiplied by 50 = x750.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
For best support when carrying a microscope, one hand should be placed under the base and the other around the arm. This makes dropping and damaging the microscope less likely.
