Answer to Question 1

If students experience any interpersonal conflict while at a site, they should seek advice and/or help immediately. They should not be quick to say questionable or negative things about others, especially while at a site. They should contact the externship coordinator/faculty regarding the issue and be honest with the details of their personal perception of the problem. They should also consider any advice offered by the externship coordinator or career services staff. Sometimes, the only thing causing a problem is merely the perception of one or both individuals involved. A resolution is typically possible if all parties choose to cooperate.
