Answer to Question 1

3
Restorative care includes follow-up care after surgery, home care, and rehabilitation. The need for restorative care may result from an acute illness episode, surgery, exacerbation of a chronic illness, or from a disability. Restorative care is not to help the client die, to help the family cope, or to increase health care costs.

Answer to Question 2

3
One type of polycythemia is caused by an increase in the number of red blood cells in response to a reduced amount of oxygen in the body. The client with emphysema could develop this type of polycythemia. Hemolytic anemia, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and hemophilia are not associated with emphysema.
