2. Confusion is not an expectation of aging.
3. Many older clients take multiple drugs, which can diminish or potentiate other drugs. This is also known as polypharmacy.
4. Confusion can be result of a high fever in the older client, but the nurse first would suspect the medication given an hour ago.
