2. Many over-the-counter medications and herbals can potentiate or decrease the effect of prescription medications. The client should be instructed to discuss all medications with the primary care provider.
3. The client should be instructed to notify the physician of side effects of medications taken.
4. Some medications are best taken with food, while others are taken on an empty stomach.
