If your state has the death penalty (or a neighboring state if your state does not),
  research reliable sources to determine if your governor has ever commuted a death
  sentence. What justification was provided?

Did rehabilitation play any role in the
governor's reasoning? From the information you have gathered, did the commutation
seem ethically justified?



Answer to Question 2

What
factors should a governor consider in making this decision? What evidence should the
governor require of the rehabilitation? What would be the ethical justification in support
of commutation in such a situation?
