Poll Tax for voting
Jim Crow Laws
segregated EVERYTHING
not being accepted at state colleges
denied habaeus corpus often

Google all the terms and you will get the info.  Wiki is fairly accurate for something like this.  The first two are the most important.

what do you mean did?  As for the past there were the jim crow laws, poll taxes, intimidation and a little group that liked to ride around at night on horses wearing funny white hats.  most of these gentlemen were elected officials hiding under the sheets.  as for today as close back as 2000 voter abuses went on in Florida, I saw it first hand when they kicked thousands of voters off the roles.  Sec of State Katherine Harris paid a database company to compile a list of felons to keep from voting, in the memo she asked the database corp to include any names that were similar so they can accrue a greater number than is actual for their list.  because felons are 82% minority they were able to deny thousands of innocent people from voting, an estimated 18,000 people statewide were not allowed to vote in 2000.  Bush won by 400 votes.  Do the math, states are still denying african americans rights.
