All of the following are guidelines for Hospital: Part B Medicare coverage EXCEPT:
 
  a. Determine the plan's UCR for the billed charges.
  b. The UCR amount is considered the estimated Medicare-approved amount.
  c. Multiply 50 of the estimated approved amount (2). This is your estimated Medicare payment.
  d. Once you have estimated Medicare's payment, you can proceed with calculating the coordination of benefits.
