To ensure that an infant with congenital hypothyroidism is getting the full dose of his/her thyroid replacement medication, the nurse should instruct the parents to put the medication in the infant's bottle of formula.

2 . Medications should never be mixed in a bottle, as there is no guarantee that the infant will receive the full dose if they choose not to drink all the liquid in the bottle.
