Cardiac valvular disease can occur in rheumatic fever. Cardiomyopathies are diseases of the heart muscle, which can occur as a result of congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, or other systemic disease. Rheumatic fever is not a complication of Kawasaki syndrome.
