Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
Use of an IUD may be contraindicated for a woman whose uterus is distorted in shape because the device might perforate the uterine wall. The device is not contraindicated for multiple sexual partners, hypertension, or history of thromboembolic disease. Infection is no longer a concern because the vaginal string no longer conducts fluid. The device does not impact hormone levels and will not influence blood pressure or blood flow.

Answer to Question 2

D
During the postpartum period, the woman may be overwhelmed with information and re-member little of it. Therefore verbal information should be reinforced and supplemented with written material. Option 4 demonstrates acceptance of the patient and an offer to repeat ne-cessary information.

This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
