sticky. Just before ovulation, cervical mucus becomes thin, clear, and elastic to promote
passage of sperm into the uterus and fallopian tubes, where they can fertilize the ovum.

Increasing the IV rate and preparing for emergency cesarean section are not necessary for variable decelerations.
