Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

A
Option a is a highly technical method that oxygenates the blood while bypassing the lungs, allowing the infant's lungs to rest and recover. The infant is probably already connected to a ventilator. Insertion of laryngoscope and tracheal suctioning are performed after birth before the infant takes the first breath. An endotracheal tube will be in place to facilitate deep tracheal suctioning and ventilation.
