During the postpartum period the temperature and pulse should be taken:
 
  a. every day until discharge.
  b. every day for the first 10 days, then again at discharge visit.
  c. if there are concerns regarding maternal infection or postpartum haemorrhage.
  d. within 6 hours of birth and then at the discharge visit.
