Decision making in pregnancy, birth and post birth is a complex process. How can the midwife assist the women in this process?
 
  a. Limit the information given to the woman to that which will lead the woman to make the correct' decision.
  b. Take the decision out of her handsit will be easier for the woman if you help her by making the decision for her.
  c. Limit the options available to the womanthe fewer options available, the easier it is to choose one.
  d. Provide the woman with the opportunity to obtain evidenced-based information and all alternatives so she can be fully informed in the decision-making process.

To promote self-confidence in women, the midwife needs to:
