Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
The warmth of the water and prolonged sitting may cause the woman to feel weak or dizzy when she gets up. She should rise slowly or call for assistance before getting up. The water temperature should be 38 to 40.5 C (100 to 105 F). Topical medications should be applied after the sitz bath, so the woman is not accidentally burned. Sitz baths should not last longer than 20 minutes.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
It is possible to ovulate and become pregnant before menstrual periods are reestablished, whether the woman is breastfeeding or not.
