Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

The three types of expectations are ideal levels of quality, predicted or expected levels of quality, and levels of quality that are merely adequate. Some customer segments are demanding, with idealistic expectations, but for most purchases, most segments expect average-level quality. For unimportant purchases, customer expectations may be lower, and the company need only provide a basic market offering. The wiggle room between the low, adequate level of expectations and somewhere slightly above the middle, predicted level of expectations is referred to as a zone of tolerance, a range of performance that the customer would deem acceptable.
