Factors that contribute to success in international business include:
1. ability to adapt
2. technical competence
3. spouse and family adaptability
4. human relations skills
5. desire to serve overseas
6. previous overseas experience
7. understanding of host country's culture
8. academic qualifications
9. knowledge of host country's language

Answer to Question 2

Motivation is a process that results in goal-directed behavior. Businesses try to motivate their employees in a number of ways, such as through income, recognition, awards, job security, achievement, and personal feelings of accomplishment.
