Answer to Question 1

Direct-broadcast commercial is a television or radio commercial that has as one of its elements a toll-free number or other mechanism to allow the viewer to immediately respond to an offer from the marketer who created the commercial. Infomercial is a long-form (e.g., 30 minutes) broadcast commercial that provides much more information than can be supplied in a typical 30- or 60-second commercial. Finally, television shopping network is a network (usually cable based) that has program content made up of direct-marketing offers that viewers can access during the program or that posts programming on shopping-network-operated websites.
