Answer to Question 1

True

Answer to Question 2

Protecting the Earth and its natural resources is an increasingly growing concern facing companies today. Green initiatives allow organizations to improve their corporate image in the eyes of the public as responsible and accountable entities that are not solely focused on profit and hence act as good publicity. Depending on the initiative (less paper, recycling, telecommuting, appropriate disposal of electronic waste etc.) the firm may reap the benefits of lesser costs, waste reduction and increased efficiency.

Society may also laud the company's efforts if they also benefit from it. For example: A firm that encourages car pooling amongst its employees helps reduce traffic congestion, pollution and promotes the preservation of limited natural resources.
