Answer to Question 1

Technological advancements have made the world a smaller place by allowing us to share large amounts of information with widespread audiences at lower costs and at higher speeds. No longer are physical boundaries a deterrent to business. The electronic superhighway has opened up routes between and among countries and consumers that were basically impassable or time-restrictive in the late twentieth century, creating a death of distance with respect to how rapidly information is transferred around the globe. Technological advancements have increased worker mobility and can be seen in areas such as outsourcing, online learning and trends in telecommuting.
