Answer to Question 1

Most leaders have captivating personalities that appeal to others. They communicate well and are knowledgeable and persuasive. They can motivate and inspire team members. They are honest and trustworthy. They are also good at planning, setting goals, and strategizing. Finally, leaders recognize the contributions of other team members.

Three common leadership styles include autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire. Autocratic leaders are take-charge people who do not seek the input of other team members. They can make decisions quickly because they do not seek advice from team members. Democratic leaders involve team members in the decision-making process. Laissez-faire leaders offer little to no guidance to team members and leave decision making to them, believing that their talents will surface.
