This scale of measurement indicates which of two responses is more (more intense, stronger, etc.) than another response, but does not indicate exactly how much more.
 
  a. ordinal c. interval
  b. ratio d. nominal

Question 2

If a researcher wanted to study the process by which sororities accept new members, s/he could use which of the following dichotomous nominal scale measures?
 
  a. Indicate on a scale from 0 to 6 how much you want to accept this candidate for membership.
  b. 0 = reject; 1 = maybe accept; 2 = definitely accept
  c. 0 = reject; 1 = accept
  d. Indicate on a scale from 1 to 7 how much you want to accept this candidate for membership.

Ordinal scales allow us to know equality or inequality, but they don't tell us how unequal things are.
