As one would expect of the conflict theory, women are seen as suffering from male domination in the church. Evidence of their subordinate position is seen in the assumed male characteristics of the Supreme Being in all major religions, the negative view of women based in Genesis of the Old Testament, and patriarchy in most Christian religious organizations.
