Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

Marx's concept of alienation refers to feelings of powerlessness and estrangement

from others and from oneself. Marx believed workers in a capitalist system are

alienated from the things they produce, which require their labor and creativity but

which they cannot own. They are alienated from their work because they are forced

into it in order to survive. Workers are alienated from themselves because they lack

control over their activities. They are also alienated from other workers, who must sell

their labor as a commodity.
