Answer to Question 1

Stanley Milgram's1967 experiment on the small world phenomenon concluded that most people in the United States are separated by just six individuals (six degrees of separation). Thirty-five years later, another psychologist, Judith Kleinfeld, found that Milgram had stacked the deck in favor of success. But some more recent experiments have had findings similar to Milgram's. It has been shown that 250 million people who exchanged chat messages showed a link of less than seven, and 700 million people on Facebook showed a connection of less than five.It is possible that Milgram stumbled onto the truth.
