According to the author, many African Americans, while having been born and raised in Montclair, no longer live there because of the high cost of homes. However, they manage to send their children to school in Montclair.
 
  How do they justify this?
   
 a. Many African Americans feel it is their right after years of discrimination.
   b. For many of the Montclair African Americans, children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews are all part of the extended family of the relatives who still live in Montclair.
