Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

humans cut down large numbers of trees, leading to deforestation. This leads to loss of topsoil, due to erosion. Also, humans cover large areas of land with buildings and roads, leading to further loss of topsoil. The topsoil loss leads to an increase in desert, or desertification. Desertification and the increased water needed for a growing population lead to the loss of groundwater.
