Green parties are political parties whose central issue is the environment. In Germany, the Green Party has won seats in the national legislature. In the United States they have not been as successful. In the future, it is expected the green party movement will make advances. However, one main issue is that the battle against environmental injustice often pits environmentalists against politicians and the wealthy.
